Ted is a respected veteran of the music business whose resume includes management, label operations, publicity, booking, promotion, marketing, touring, production and consulting for artists, labels, film and television. He is also an award-winning journalist and musicologist whose stories have appeared in a host of publications including Rolling Stone, Guitar World and the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Induction Book. Ted also fronts the internationally touring American roots band Ted Drozdowski’s Scissormen, whose latest CD+DVD release BIG SHOES: Walking and Talking the Blues is a collaboration with the famed music documentary film maker Robert Mugge. He also gives workshops on music business, slide guitar technique, blues history and other topics at festivals, schools and cultural institutions.
Laurie is a seasoned arts marketing and management professional with experience as a musician, author, business manager, fundraiser, grant writer, and copy editor. Not only does Laurie have extensive experience in workshop facilitation and project management, she is excellent at back office support for creative operations. She has toured and recorded as a keyboardist and vocalist, performed stand-up comedy, is a photographer and designer, co-wrote the book CD Music Art + Design and owns a custom pet photography jewelry business. Laurie is an expert in non-profit operations and has been an executive director and development director of youth-centered 501(c)(3) organizations.
